Our Easter :)

How was your Easter? We had an enjoyable one here in Arizona... the weather was just gorgeous, in the 80s with sunshine and flowers blooming. It is a striking difference between that and last year's Easter back in the Upper Peninsula! We enjoyed the service at our church, with most of us being involved in one way or another. We were sad that the neighbors we'd invited to church didn't come, but we will keep loving on them and pray that their hearts ache to know our God, too. :)

Here's a taste of our day yesterday...

This tree is just outside the building where our church meets, and everyone's kids love climbing in it & playing on the lawn. Yesterday, before the Easter breakfast, they were all out there in their nice clothes. Doesn't it look like it belongs in a Kohl's ad for children's Easter clothing? :)

Marissa & her friend Hannah sang a duet together, Marissa's first time singing at church other than in kids' groups. Marissa didn't look a bit nervous, although she told us she really was. They did great! :)

Here we all are, ouside the building where our church meets...

Matt & the kids getting ready to eat our Easter dinner yesterday...

Mark & Anita came in the afternoon and brought dessert and gifts for us. She had asked the kids to memorize a Scripture verse and then when they recited it to them, they could have their gift. Naomi was the only one too sleepy after naptime to say her verse... but she still got her candy. :)

Well, that was our day yesterday. So, how was your Easter? What kinds of things do you do to celebrate Jesus' resurrection? I'd love to hear about it! :)

Happy Easter! Quite the contrast from last year to this with the weather!
We spent ours out of town with family, and it was really nice to be with cousins. My husband's brother and family go to a wonderful church so we joined them for a morning breakfast and service...that was the highlight...and then had a meal at SIL's parents with an egg hunt and too many carbs! Nice to visit with family that we don't see often enough.
