we're back.

The whole fam, just south of the Mackinaw Bridge as we headed north.

We had a wonderful trip to Michigan, saw lots of family, friends and beautiful fall colors.  (I couldn't stop saying, "It's so *beautiful*!" for several days after our arrival.)  We worked hard, too, getting some much-needed updating and repairs done at our Beach House.  A new window, sturdying up/re-insulating/redoing one wall, tidying up/rearranging the house, painting the family room, painting the exterior of the house, finding a great couple to live in our house over the winter, etc.  It was a good time.

Best of all, since the plan is June 2012 for our next visit, we don't even have to wait a whole year to go back!
