Another answer to prayer :)

We have renters for our Beach House for the off season! :) A family just signed an 8-month lease to rent our Marquette home. They are very excited about the house and the yard for their kids to enjoy. We're very excited to have them in our home during the cold winter months, when we normally would be having nightmares about frozen pipes. It's also fun imagining little ones in the house again through the changing of seasons.

Last winter, keeping the house open as a vacation rental didn't work very well. It sat empty most of the time, and we still had to pay the heat and snowplowing bills. We contemplated closing it down for the winter this year, but it would cost quite a bit.

So, we are *very* grateful to God for providing some slow season income for us, and for providing someone to be in the house over the winter (and pay for heat & snowplowing). We won't have the frozen pipes scenario playing out in our minds this winter, either!

Thank-you, God! :)

Sorry I didn't make a comment sooner. I saw your posting but weas too tired at the time to mess with posting as some times it is a big pain & doesn't let me post. Anyway it is so great the God provided some one to be in your Marquette house this fall & winter to keep an eye on things but also to provide some extra income.

Thanks, Mom! :)

This was a *huge* answer to prayer since last winter the vacation rental didn't bring in much money. It's going to be so great just knowing somebody is there, and to have the income besides will help a great deal, too.

We are SO thankful! :)

Just had to stop in and say "Hi"...somehow I stumbled upon your blog and was intrigued when it said something about "beach house"...for the first 25 years we were married we enjoyed hundreds of days at my husband's family's cottage on a lake in WesternNew York...

Anyway, from there I peeked around a bit - what a sweet family you have...we love Arizona and vacationed there in July...we live in Durango Colorado which is chilly much of the year - so we said we went to PHX to thaw out! ha!

I home school too! Anyway, have a great sunshiney day in AZ...blessings from my home school to yours...
