Yep. Rutabagas... the very vegetable I thought we weren't able to buy here in Arizona! The other day, when I was grocery shopping for other things, I saw them right before my eyes. Rutabagas, $1.49/lb.
I promptly bought one and we had pasties again for dinner. :) This time, Marissa accidentally left the sugar in the crust recipe, and the crust turned out even better than before. I was in crust heaven... and those rutabagas with their slightly sweet flavor made it taste even better than before, too. :)

That's cool that you can get rutabagas in Arizona after all. Sometime, we'll have to make real pasties. Now that we have the recipe that yoopers use, we'll be authentic!
