A little more info...

I left out a little pertinent information in the interest of trying to keep the "Stupid Tax" story from becoming a book.

The man we bought the camper from was selling it for his dad, who had gotten it from his uncle, who had gotten it from a friend. None of them had ever bothered getting a title for the camper, which had a permanent trailer plate on it.

So the guy who sold us the camper didn't have any inkling that this camper had been stolen in its past. He has been quite good to work with through this whole thing, trying to track down his uncle to see if he had a title. He called us while we were on our way there the night we bought it, hoping the number he had was a cell number, to tell us that he didn't have a title. Unfortunately, we didn't get the message until we got there.

Anyway, I just didn't want you guys thinking the guy who placed the ad was being deceptive or something. :)
