nine days 'til Christmas...

Whew! We finally finished our school today, and I also completed the painting that needed to get sent off to Michigan in time for Christmas.

Finishing up my most recent painting.

I am on VACATION!!! :)

So, Matt has been wanting to go to a high-quality Christmas concert, a symphony or choral type presentation, lately. So last week, he brought home a flier for something that looked promising.  We went tonight, and it was amazing.

A cool scene from the musical with singing, a horse and sleigh, and "snow".  :)

The event was Phoenix First Assembly's "Celebration of Christmas", which according to their website, is the largest one in America.  It was easily worth $20 per ticket, but it was free. :)

It was a very high-quality production, with a children's choir, adult choir, acting, dancing, flying angels, animals onstage, a live nativity with donkey and camels, all accompanied by a 30-piece orchestra.  It was pretty spectacular, and really fit the bill with what Matt was looking for.

It was a very nice kickoff to our Christmas break. :)
